Are you tired of the same old boring book reports or book reviews? Sure, educators try to make them more exciting with posters, diaramas, or other creative alternatives to the hand- or type-written version, but they’re still not very exciting. Why not try what these students did as an option to the regular ‘ol book report?
- Teachers and students at the Runkle School in Brookline, MA, beginning with first graders on up are podcasting book reviews. Check out their work! Teacher Elizabeth Davis has provided resources to get you going including rubrics and Quicktime videos. - Take a look at a trailer for Lois Lowry’s The Giver, created by a fifth grader in Austin, TX, using Microsoft’s Movie Maker (which ships with most PCs).
